Roberto
Scornaienchi
a child discovers his passion for music and, in particular, for the guitar.
The artistic climate of the'70s and deeply marked the doorway to take an
interest in multidisciplinary artistic experiences based on free
expression. Still teenager works with groups of dance and theater and
learn from what the association between sound and expression of the body,
so close to the settlement, beginning lived as emotional story translated
into sounds, then, with the completion of studies, such as strict formal
discipline. After various experiences in different musical genres, from
folk to progressive rock, in 1978 began the study of harmony and
composition, following the classical guitar, an instrument which will
devote most of its energies. In 1984 he graduated in "Classical
Guitar" with the highest grade under the guidance of
Lucio Matarazzo. In 1988, ending
three years of refinement with
Angelo Gilardino at the
International Academy of Music "L. Perosi" of Biella. His current
concert is always supported by a thorough search expression that
continually leads to cross several musical genres as interpreter and as a
researcher and composer. The creative approach with the language of jazz
encourages him to begin a search for profound renewal technical and
expressive on his instrument.
Since 1994, for about three years, is a student of
Ralph Towner with which take a creative
path toward a language free from prejudices shape and style. Those who had
appeared initially as flashes of creativity is solidified into a deep
knowledge and experience in a style in which the creative demands of the "European
jazz" blend with the breath of ethnic "Mediterranean" resulting in an
introspective personal language intimate and full of colors and expressive
nuances surface from which a new sound universe, as "horizons" to explore
with the solid support of its classical studies, which still feels the
influence especially in touch and phrasing guitar.
These demands are fully expressed in her first album recorded in
1997 for the tag "Phorminx" Madrid is not a case entitled
"Orizzonti", which includes 9 original songs, a live signed with
his workers and a composition by Ralph Towner then still unpublished.
"Toledo". The CD, and reviewed by several music magazines Spanish and
Italian (eg. "Guitars" of April 1998), was presented to RAI 3 in
the transmission "Radiotresuite" which Roberto was a guest several times,
along with guitarist Edoardo Bignozzi and percussionist Tommy
Caggiani (the two employees in his first CD), to present live his
compositions.
Since 1999, begins a more specific study of jazz (his history, his
stylistic evolution, conductor of the techniques, improvisation and
harmony functional) at the Conservatory of Music of Cosenza, in recent
years, and in various stages, moved the creative-introspective journey
began with Ralph Towner in a more objective. His compositional language
evokes less intimate scale and the pace before more tied all'espressività
and colors, took a more autonomous. The overlap of the plans sound is more
evident and the polyphony is enhanced by a strong and fluid phrasing that
allows harmonic and melodic elements greater adherence to the rhythmic
dimension. All this coagulates in a guitar style and compositional
framework of the multicultural dimension of European modern jazz in which
past, present and future are part of a unique sound universe.
In 2004, just with a thesis on Ralph Towner, follows the "Diploma
of Jazz". Later approaches the language of music Electroacoustics that
led him to enrich his wealth of studies and to further expand its musical
horizons. In March 2008 he received with honors the "Diploma of
Music Electronics" under the guidance of Francesco Galante.
